The discharge of grease into sewers can cause blockages in pipes and hinder the performance of sewage treatment
plants.

Grease traps are required where fats and greases from small and large catering facilities are discharged to
the drainage system.
The BMS Grease Trap range has been designed to suit the needs of virtually all catering situations.
All BMS Grease Traps are made from Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP) to ensure a corrosion free and extended
operation to other materials.
A solids tray positioned at the inlet collects food particles and other solid materials carried in the warm water.
Inside the grease trap the water is cooled allowing the fats and grease to separate and float to the surface.

An R&D program to improve the collection of cooking oils and grease in the trays has resulted in a change
to the internal layout of the BMS GT 100 and GT 200 products. Before emptying, the collection tray is closed off
and lifts out easily without spillage. The GT 2000 is discharged for grease removal by mechanical suction, with
solids deposited in the first chamber.
